Lviv is bidding farewell to former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and parliament member Andrii Parubii, who was killed on August 30. Among those attending to honor their colleague were Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, former president and current MP Petro Poroshenko with his spouse Marina, ex-Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko, former NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, as well as MPs Volodymyr Viatrovych and Yana Zinkevych. This was reported by a correspondent from Коротко про at the scene.
The funeral rites began at 12:00 in St. Yura Cathedral. A public memorial ceremony will follow at 13:30 on Rynok Square, after which the statesman will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.

- On August 30, a courier fatally shot Andrii Parubii in Lviv. The suspect, a 52-year-old unemployed local resident, was detained overnight on September 1.
