The Communal Enterprise “Kyivzelenbud” has stated that the specialized equipment being used for work in Teremky was not transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by British partners. The enterprise acquired the machinery from a private company, and it was manufactured in Great Britain.
As Ukrinform reports, this was announced by KE “Kyivzelenbud”, according to Ukrinform, citing the Kyiv City State Administration’s Telegram channel.
“The enterprise (KE “Kyivzelenbud” – ed.) refuted the information that specialized equipment, allegedly provided by British partners for the Armed Forces, is being used for work in Teremky,” the statement reads.
The department explains that the equipment used by the enterprise was purchased from a private company and was manufactured in Great Britain.
“The markings on the KE ‘Kyivzelenbud’ equipment, which some public figures are writing about, are stickers indicating that the selling company allocates a portion of the profit from excavator sales to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the post notes.
Simultaneously, KE “Kyivzelenbud” and the district communal enterprise for maintaining green spaces emphasize that the equipment is not humanitarian aid but was acquired within the framework of the communal enterprise’s ongoing operational activities. According to the statement, the markings on the equipment highlight the civic stance of the selling company and attest to its support for the Ukrainian military.
“We ask you not to spread false information and not to speculate on the topic of supporting the Armed Forces in the context of constructing a heating network to supply the Teremky-1 and Teremky-2 microdistricts with heat,” the department wrote.
In addition, Kyivzelenbud appealed to bloggers and public activists, requesting them to “use verified information, not spread outright manipulations, and not mislead people.”
As Ukrinform reported earlier, a new heating main is being constructed in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital as part of the Comprehensive Resilience Plan, which will create a backup heating supply scheme and enhance the reliability of heat provision for residents of the Teremky-1 and Teremky-2 residential areas.
The Kyiv City State Administration noted that part of the green spaces needs to be removed within the construction corridor for these works. Upon completion of the construction, the area will be fully restored, landscaping will be carried out, and new trees and other greenery will be planted.
As Ukrinform reported, the Kyiv police commented on the felling of century-old trees in the Holosiivskyi district, carried out for the construction of a heating network. Law enforcement stated that the preparatory works are being conducted on a legal basis as part of the implementation of the capital’s Energy Resilience Plan.
