Deliberate attacks by the Russian Federation on civilians are unacceptable and must cease. Those responsible must be held accountable, the ministry said.

As noted, Romania will continue to support Ukraine and work with its partners to strengthen Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and engage Russia in negotiations. Escalation and brinkmanship by Russia only show one thing: the Russian Federation is not achieving its initial goals for aggression, and the situation is turning against Moscow.

“Therefore, Germany, together with its partners, is increasing pressure on Russia even further. We will continue to support Ukraine in its fight for self-defense. This support will also be one of the main topics at the NATO summit next week in Ankara,” the ministry assured.
